Teddybear CT data set visualized by a color-mapped slice and a flat-shaded isosurface. |

Engine block CT data set visualized using three pairwise orthogonal slices. |

Same data set, visualized with a smooth-shaded isosurface. |

Several isosurfaces in a "fake" mantle convection data set sampled on an earth-fitted curvilinear grid. |

A color-mapped slice and several isosurfaces visualizing a model of seismic wave velocities in the Earth's mantle computed via seismic tomography. The model is evaluated on an Earth-fitted curvilinear grid. Low-velocity regions are colored red; high-velocity regions are colored blue. The isosurfaces show the alleged "superplumes" underneath Africa and the Pacific. The visualized data set was provided by Barbara Romanowicz of the UC Berkeley Seismological Lab. This video (MPEG-1, 29MB) shows a researcher exploring this data set in an immersive 3D visualization environment, the KeckCAVES. |

The same view of the dataset in the image above; this time with an overlayed topographical map of Earth to provide context to the visualization. |

Not a screen shot, but a photograph of a user exploring the Parikh wing data set on our tiled display wall. There is also a movie (MPEG-1, 1MB) taken with a digital camera while walking around the display. |
